Recipe Binder

Recently I updated my Recipe Binder. Now it is more functional for my family needs. Here is the link to my old one. Recipe Binder. It worked for a little while. I wanted to make it cute like other binders I have seen on many websites. So I reorganized it.

Here is the new cover... The cover reminds me of a picnic blanket.

The Lewis Family Vision 2012

The Lewis Family Vision 2012

I think it is very important for families to create a vision and make steps towards accomplishing them. I took into consideration many aspects while creating a mission for my family. I, of course, prayed and talked it over with my husband to get his leadership and guidance. This is nothing fancy, but a review of the conversation my husband and I had about family and where we are trying to be spiritually as a family.

A house cannot stand upon sand. Real homes are built on a solid foundation, and so Christian Families must build their spiritual lives upon a rock. So when unfavorable times happen, we will not fall, sink, or be blown away from the cares of this world. We must be about to stand firm. We have to be like the man who built his house upon a rock. Matthews 7: 24-27. The rain, flood, and wind could not destroy his home, because it was built on Jesus Christ. The Lewis Family has to be built upon the same solid foundation, Jesus Christ.

We will strive to...

L-Love God and others. Matthews 22: 36-39
E-Encourage each other daily. Hebrews 10: 24
W- Walk in a way that is pleasing to God. Colossians 2: 6-7; Galatians 5:16
I- Illuminate our lives so that others turn their lives to God. Matthew 5: 14-16
S-Speak with grace and purpose. Colossians 3:17;Job 27: 3-4

This vision works well with and for my family. I think this is a great way to begin this blog.

With Love,

Mrs. Nita
